HCSO arrested two convicted sex offenders; one I reported on last year for the same crime

 

Humboldt County Sheriff made arrested two convicted sex offenders yesterday for failure to register.

Warren Gurden Staley for PC 290.012(a) and Richard Paul Wright for PC 290.018(b).

I have reported on Wright before in 2025 and due to the number of cases, did not follow up.on the outcome of his preliminary hearing. Clearly, Wright broke the law again.

Judges in other California counties hold these predators accountable and they are given consequences. It is time for Humboldt judges to start sentencing these repeat sex offenders to jail and prison if it is the second offense.
