I had been adding regular updates to thecJune 29, 2025 post on attempted murder suspect Blaine Becksted's case. I stopped covering his case after he was found not competent on 10/15/25.
This post picks up from that hearing. I have provided a screenshot of the timeline leading up to the 6/26/26 hearing when I was in the courtroom and Becksted entered a dual plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for this case. Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Becksted's attorney.
On 7/2, there is a receipt of subpoenaed records.On 8/5, appointment of doctors. Defense already has an expert.

continued by stipulation to 8/12.
8/12/26: Appointment of doctor + trial setting continued by stipulation to 9/1; defense suggests Dr. Jennifer Bosch.
