In January, I did this post on a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Redwood Teen Challenge.

Redwood Teen Challenge filed a 170.6 against Humboldt Superior Court Judge Timothy Canning. The case was assigned to Humboldt Superior Court Judge April Van Dyke.
There are court documents, details and updates in the January 12 post. On 4/10/26, Judge Van Dyke heard arguments on a demurrer filed by Redwood Teen Challenge and took the matter under submission. I have been checking regularly and there is no ruling or entry if a ruling has been issued as of 6/5/26.
On 5/27, this motion was filed by Redwood Teen Challenge on 5/27. It was not entered in e court until 6/5. No date has been set for the motion to compel.
After my post was published, the date 6/26 for the motion to compel was entered in e court.
6/26/26: Motion to compel continued to 7/2.
7/2/26: Motion to compel continued to 7/9 since Judge Van Dyke needs more time to review documents.
Still no ruling on demurrer as of 7/8.
