Some things remain constant as the trend of multiple continuances in Humboldt Superior Court.
As I mentioned in my May 23, 2026 post, I have been the only one reporting on convicted felon Logan Brewer-Hearst's 2024 drug and firearm case.
While I did post updates on my Facebook News page including about the daily continuances this week, I added them to the May 2026 post on the blog. It includes live coverage from the courtoom. Brewer Hearst's appearance has changed and I did not even recognize him at a hearing until the case was called.
The case keeps getting continued because there is no judge or courtroom available. It is trailing a misdemeanor trial in Courtroom 5.
Today, the Brewer-Hearst trial was confinued again. Same reason except there is an OR bail hearing tomorrow. No information in e court about who filed it; I am guessing from Deputy Conflict Counsel RJ Leohner with the argument Brewer-Hearst should be released because the trial is dragging on because if it was Senior Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees' motion it would be for increase in bail or no bail. Haven't heard about Brewer-Hearst acting out in jail or a new case.
Tomorrow's update will be added to this post.
