This was the last post I did on attempted murder suspect James Atkins' 2023 case. After Ms. Andrea Sullivan was relieved because Atkins decided to hire LA attorney Anthony Tall, nothing has happened except continuance after continuance from defense.
The motion to continue defense was filed on 12/1/25, the day of the last hearing on this case. Local attorney Ms. Kathleen Bryson made a special appearance. Retired Judge Christopher Wilson is considering an OSC. Humboldt County Deputy DA Roger Rees is the prosecutor.
Trial setting + confirmation of counsel availability is scheduled for 12/5.
12/5/25: Readiness Conference on 2/3/26; jury trial on 2/17/26.
