Further setting and possible change of plea was scheduled for Robert Fregoso and Rita Pimentel 2019 case this morning. It was continued to August 12.

Fregoso also has two other cases.

In the 2019 case, Fregoso is charged with with one count of worker's compensation fraud and one count of failure to secure worker's compensation insurance.
In that same case, Pimentel is charged with one count failure to secure worker's compensation insurance.

Pimentel is represented by Mr. David Nims and her son Robert Fregoso is represented by Ms. Heidi Holmquist Wells.

Once again, Ms. Wells specially appeared for Mr. Nims. Fregoso and Pimentel were not in court; both have waivers of personal appearance on file.

Ms. Wells told Judge Timothy Canning, "I apologize." She requested a further 30 day date for disposition/reset to take care of "of a few things on my end" needed to resolve the case.

Deputy District Attorney David Moutrie is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Jane Mackie was in court for the People.
