No evidence of foul play or suicide in inmate's death; Ralph Horn test for COVID 19 was negative
I reported this morning that an inmate at the Humboldt County jail was deceased. That inmate was Ralph Horn.
HCSO PIO Samantha Karges did follow up and get me more information on all my questions.
"Ralph Horn was transported to a local hospital early Sunday morning after experiencing a medical emergency. Horn died while at the hospital."
"The Humboldt County Critical Incident Response Team was activated to investigate this incident. The team found no evidence of foul play or suicide."
"An autopsy is being scheduled to determine Horn’s cause of death, however, at this time it appears to be natural causes."
"Horn was housed alone in one of our celled units. He was tested for COVID-19 while at the hospital and that test came back negative."
