DA had offered to resolve Jeff Tsarnas' case for a misdemeanor plea, defense counter offers with DEJ

Trial confirmation for Jeff Tsarnas' hit and run case was continued to this morning.

Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm appeared on the case for the People. Deputy DA Roger Rees is the prosecutor for the case.

Deputy April Van Dyke appeared for Jeff Tsarnas. He has a 977 waiver of personal appearance on file.

"The DA previously offered to resolve the case for a misdemeanor," said Ms. Van Dyke. "Would the DA resolve for a deferred entry of judgement?"

Dates were set on a time waived basis. Trial confirmation is on October 26; jury trial on November 9.

Mr. Rees sent me a response disputing defense claim.
