Former therapist Edward Pena's evidentiary hearing for mental health diversion hearing for Edward Pena was continued to June 8. Mental health diversion was denied by Judge Kaleb Cockrum.
Pena's case was on calendar on June 9 for trial confirmation. Jury trial scheduled for June 22 was confirmed.
Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian is Pena's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for the case.
