A motion to exclude gang evidence due to failure to comply with discovery order in the Jesus Garcia homicide was continued yet again to August 29. A pretrial conference is also scheduled for the same day.

After a statement made by Mr. David Celli regarding disvovery, intervention was held in a closed courtroom, which is standard for Humboldt County.
Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is prosecuting the case. Mr. David Celli is representing Mario Nunez. Ms. Andrea Sullivan is representing Joe Olivo III. Mr. George Mavris is representing Joe Olivo Jr.
