Hearing in Jesus Garcia case continued due to attorney's schedules and impact of Lake County fire

The hearing today was continued to Friday at 8:30a.m. due to attorney schedules. Ms. Andrea Sullivan represents Joe Olivo III. Her office is in evacuation zone due to the fires. She could be here tomorrow but George Mavris, who represents Joe Olivo Jr had other court appearances tomorrow.

There are possible resolutions being discussed. Two of the three attorneys have busy practices outside Humboldt County.  Mr. David Celli is representing Mario Nunez. He specially appeared for Ms. Sulivan today.

Joe Olivo Jr, Joe Olivo III and Mario Nunez are the three co-defendants charged with the death of Jesus Garcia. A motion to exclude gang evidence due to failure to comply with discovery order and trial setting was scheduled for July 18. It was continued to August 1.
