Shout out to our Humboldt County Election Office

I have had a very pleasant experience every time I visit the elections office. They are helpful and informative.

I voted early, mailed in my absentee ballot and checked on my ballot.

The right to vote is one of the most important rights we have as citizens. Every vote counts! If you have not voted already, make sure you do by tomorrow.

I got three people to register that never have, and they voted absentee. I only encouraged them to do so, with out bias for any particular candidate or proposition (and turn off the TV and internet ads in the background) and helped them to read their voters guides. They hand delivered them to the mail-person and it was all done. They returned to whatever it was they were doing and can now be as smug as they please elsewhere, I suppose. But they voted. No malfeasance, fraud, coercion or anything. Vote and get it in the mail when you can and do so on your own time so it's an honest vote, even if you don't like the process so much. I will call it a win no matter how they voted. They finally got involved. Yes I know it's hard to believe, but I did manage it.

  2. Good job! This is how it should be, encouraging people to vote, handing in your vote. I certainly do not trust the corrupt system, media and most certainly do not need the DOJ intimidating votets.

I trust our Humboldt County Election office staff.

  3. You mentioned you voted absentee, and then went and checked on you vote. Who'd you ask to find out if you ballot was recorded correctly and not internally switched?
