Marijuana, meth, guns, scales and three arrested in POP bust





    
On November 2, 2016, at about 1:49 p.m., Detectives with the Eureka Police Department Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) served a search warrant at an apartment on the 1100 block of L Street in response to an ongoing investigation into drug activity.

During the search, detectives located 8 pounds of marijuana, 332 grams of concentrated cannabis, 65 grams of methamphetamine, a .38 Special revolver, a .410/45 LC revolver, a 12 gauge shotgun with a 24" overall length, scales, packaging, and indicia.   




Three people from inside the apartment were transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility (HCCF) and booked on the following charges.  

§ Michael Kick, 34 of Eureka.  Felon in possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine.
§ Mariano Velarde-Galvan, 25 of Eureka.  Possession of a short barrel shotgun, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana for sales, and possession of controlled substance for sales.  
§ Conrrado Ramirez Herrera, 57 of Eureka.  Possession of a short barrel shotgun, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana for sales, and possession of controlled substance.
