This morning I briefly went to the Board of Supervisor chambers to check on the security agenda item I wrote about over the weekend yesterday. I saw Humboldt Superior Court Presiding Judge Kelly Neel and Humboldt Superior Court CEO Meara Hattan sitting there. 

I took a photo and went up on the ramp to the side where Access Humboldt is seated. Media has been allowed there in the past. After I took the photo, I was speaking with Jerry White who was in charge of the previous security company contracted with the Courthouse. I noticed Clerk of the Board Kaleigh Maffei secure the area.

It is a miracle that I can report with al lthe obstacles which are Humboldt specific.

The same suggestion I gave about courts cutting expenses applies to the County of Humboldt. Just the amount of money wasted on lawsuits they could avoid would fund courthouse security.

Kudos to Judge Neel for pointing out that the Board if Supervisors are willing to have a deputy at BOS meeting.
