Dr. Martin Williams testifies on the first day of the court trial on defense petition for outpatient treatment

 

After continuances, rescheduling, convicted murderer Antone Aubrey's court trial on the defense petition for outpatient treatment finally started yesterday. It was scheduled before Humboldt Superior Court Judge Kaleb Cockrum; he made a disclosure. It was then sent to Judge Lawrence Killoran and started in the afternoon. Trial is scheduled for 12/16, 12/17 but did not conclude and was continued to 1/5/26.

The September 30 2025 post was the most recent post with updates added to the post until the trial started this week.

Deputy District Attorney Candace Myer is the prosecutor. Deputy Public Defender Emery Welton is Aubrey's attorney.

1/14/26: Motion to continue by DA granted. 1/15 
date vacated. Status conference and setting when court trial resumes scheduled for 2/9/26.
