The DA has charged Jasen Coley with one count of PC 187 (a) murder and a special allegation of personal and intentional discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury or death to Kenneth Davis.
No other media was in court for arraignment. There were 13 people in court today which included some of Coley's family members and some of Davis' family members.
Mr. Michael Robinson made a special appearance. He was contacted by the family yesterday, met with them this morning and met Coley for the first time this afternoon. He expects to be retained. Arraignment was continued to 7/13 to allow Mr. Robinson time to meet with Coley and finalize retention agreements.
DA Stacey Eads appeared on the case for arraignment. No bail status continues for now. No objection by defense, for now. Anticipate it to be raised in the future. DA Eads provided Mr. Robinson some initial discovery.
