CHP has to give Ralls' I phone back but not his Apple watch

 


Trial confirmation scheduled this morning for attempted murder suspect Daniel Fernandez Ralls was continued to continued to 7/12 so Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin could appear. Jury trial is scheduled for 7/17.

On 6/20, Judge Kaleb Cockrum ordered CHP to return Ralls' I phone which has a San Judas Tadeo prayer card attached. He did not get back his Apple watch.



7/12: At trial confirmation, Mr. McLaughlin told Judge Christopher Wilson that he is confirming jury trial scheduled for 7/17 but maybe in trial. Time estimate is 7 days. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees made an offer to resolve the case for Count 3 PC 245 (b) assault with semi automatic rifle on person. DA witnesses are 5 officers and 4 civilians.
