"I understand the Court's discretion. You don't have to give me history"

It is a Monday. After a long 8:30 calendar and closing arguments scheduled in a sex abuse trial, this morning some attorneys and defendants got the brunt of Retired Judge Christopher's wrath. I don't blame him. One of those was Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian. The same argument has been going on in Bao Her's case for months. "I understand the Court's discretion. You don't have to give me history" Judge Wilson said to Mr. Orbelian.

Judge Wilson reads the file, he knows Humboldt Superior Court defendants and after listening to both Deputy District Attorney and Mr. Orbelian, Judge Wilson set two court dates. One is on September 13 for Her to show further progress in her mental health diversion which was granted in  her kidnapping case. A letter had been provided today from 7th Generation. The outcome of that will impact her other cases. An October 10 date was scheduled in her other felony matters which was Mr. Rees' request.

On 8/31, diversion granted.Diversion review hearing on 9/13.
