"I feel the community would be interested to know that a 3x Fortuna business owner has been issued a three year restraining order for willingly and intentionally harassing a now 13 year old girl and her disabled father."

 

I received this anonymous tip a few minutes ago. This is how you provide a tip with specifics, case number is helpful and there is corroboration.

"Hello John, I feel the community would be interested to know that a 3x Fortuna business owner has been issued a three year restraining order for willingly and intentionally harassing a now 13 year old girl and her disabled father.  Jason M. Belt, owner of CJ’s Fire Support (contracted wild land fire fighting company), Nor Cal Fire (fire truck repair shop), Nor Cal Freight (trucking company, responsible for burning down car wash in Fortuna), has been harassing a young 10 year old girl since April 2021.  A three year restraining order has been issue to Belt ( (CV2300846)) on 7/12/2023.  Belt refuses to surrender his firearms."

I did confirm that a restraining order was granted on 7/12. Court document filed by Jason Belt confirms he owns these three businesses. 

CJ's Fire Support is located in Fortuna but they have no contacts or listed agents. I couldn't find any online listings for the other two business names in Fortuna or Humboldt. I did find one listing for Nor Cal and the same address for Jason Belt in Fortuna. A search for Jason Belt shows Eureka and Fortuna addresses and there is this Facebook profile. Same address in open corporates. 

I did confirm the claim about NorCal Freight and the car wash and am doing a separate post with court documents.

This is what comes up for Belt in Humboldt Superior Court. He makes a lot of allegations about his neighbor and the petitioner Darwin Mazur. I looked up Mazur in Humboldt Superior Court. No criminal record. Belt, on the other hand had so many search results in the local court system, I needed two screenshots.

This is a civil harassment case, not a sexual assualt case or a criminal case. In a sexual assualt case or criminal case, minors are identified as Jane or John Doe. Everything I am posting are public court documents. Humboldt is a small county. People know the parties involved and anyone can look up addresses on the internet. Belt's address is the same listed online in multiple places and available to anyone with access to the internet.

Most people get what I do and understand why corroboration, evidence and details are necessary. In a situation like this it crucial to warn the community and it is important to show why the restraining order was granted. There are two or three persisent anonymous trolls who have an agenda and are clueless about the law that will use other local sites to deflect from the public safety and interest and whine about me posting these documents. Same with the locals and good ole boys who are Belt's buddies and also have an agenda. When any of these people use their names and actually risk and make the sacrifices I do every day and have for 20 years to inform the community and when they actually have a clue about the law, maybe their 2 cent opinion may matter.

Mazur's paperwork is legally required and brief. Belt's ranting response identifies several minors, unrelated and it is is vulgar. There could be others he has harassed who may want to step forward.
