Status of preliminary hearing was scheduled on June 23 for Demetrius Coleman and Alma Ahumadamendoza.
Coleman is charged with murder and special allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a firearm which caused great bodily injury or death to Johnny Renfro.
Ahumadamendoza is charged as an accessory after the fact in the Rio Dell homicide of Johnny Renfro.
Coleman's attorney is Ms. Andrea Sullivan. Ahumadamendoza's attorney is Mr. Mr. Thomas Feimer. Ms. Sullivan was present in court and made a special appearance for Mr. Feimer.
Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal appeared via Zoom for Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer, the prosecutor for both cases.
A further status of preliminary is scheduled for July 16 since some discovery was provided this morning and there is additional discovery that is outstanding.
Preliminary hearing for July 28 was confirmed. Time estimate is 3 hours.
