Fake instagram account of EPD officer circulating, officer does not have children

                                


"We’ve been made aware of what appears to be a troll like Instagram account that took a photo of one of our officers off the EPD Facebook page," said EPD Crime Analyst Brittany Powell.

"The person claims the officer is his dad. Other photos then depict a young man kneeling on the neck of another.  I’ve received numerous messages from concerned people that we have an officer with a racist son. This officer does not have children and the post is clearly done to wedge a divide and upset people."

I have asked a couple of follow up questions.

The name used for the fake account was Connor_Blackmon. "The account is no longer available as of this moment. I think enough people reported the account to Instagram." EPD will be  forwarding all information to the FBI for further investigation.
