On June 3, 2020, deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served one search warrant to investigate illegal cannabis cultivation in the area of Tobacco Road, Petrolia.
One parcel was investigated during the service of the warrant. The parcel did not possess the required county permit and state license to cultivate cannabis commercially.
During the service of the warrant, deputies eradicated approximately 353 growing cannabis plants. Deputies located and seized 62 grams of methamphetamine, six firearms and numerous prescription pills packaged for sales. Deputies also located evidence of drug sales and paraphernalia.
Carol Wilson, 59, of Petrolia, was cited and released on the following charges: possession of a controlled substance for sale while armed (11370.1(A)), possession of a controlled substance for sale (HS 11378), possession of a controlled narcotic substance for sale (HS 11351) and possession of marijuana for sale (HS 11359).
A second subject fled when deputies arrived on scene and remains outstanding at this time.
This case is still under investigation.
