Island Mountain armed robbery suspect Franklin Molina's preliminary hearing rescheduled to February 26


Preliminary hearing was scheduled for armed robbery suspect Franklin Molina this morning. Substantial discovery was provided by the District Attorney's office to the defense yesterday and this morning.



Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo made an oral motion to continue. Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal did not object. Retired Judge John Feeney granted the motion to continue.

Reasons given were discovery and Mr. Russo said , "There is a need for "quite a bit of investigation on this case," Molina entered a general time waiver.

Molina is charged with one count of first degree robbery, two counts of false imprisonment, one count of assault upon the person of another by any means of force likely to produce great bodily injury and one count of kidnapping and one count of carjacking.
