Criminal proceedings suspended in Antone Aubrey's homicide case
After intervention this afternoon, the defense declared doubt regarding Aubrey's competency. Criminal proceedings have been suspended. Dr. Wilson has been appointed to evaluate Aubrey. Both the People and the defense agreed on Dr. Wilson being appointed.
Review date for that report is scheduled for April 24.
Count 1 is murder; special allegation personal and intentional discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury. Count 2 is felon in possession of a firearm.
Victim is his sister Angel Aubrey.
Deputy District Attorney Candace Myer is prosecuting the case. Aubrey's attorney is Deputy Conflict Counsel David Lee. Today, Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O' Connell appeared in court with Aubrey.
