It should have been a simple five minutes of the Public Defender being relieved and a private attorney appointed. Two private attorneys, Mr. David Celli and Ms. Christina Allbright were in court.
Resetting of Trial and Confirmation of Counsel for Chad Smith was continued until February 12 after narcissistic Chado wasted an hour talking to two potential private attorneys privately twice in the courtroom and twice in a holding cell and then to Deputy Public Defender Ms. Carter who conveyed his request to the judge.
The request was that Chado needs time to consider which attorney he wants. Most defendants are grateful to get a private court appointed attorney but Chado has to make everything difficult.
Ms. Carter had already spoken to Chado but three attorneys could not get through basic stuff that other defendants can grasp.
Chado has pulled every legal manouver and manipulation to delay this trial. The taxpayers are paying to house, feed and for all of Chado's legal expenses.

Smith argued with Mr. Celli before the case was formally called. "The court does not have the right to do that," Mr. Celli said to Smith.
"I have to do what is best for my future," said Smith.
Mr. Celli told Smith that if their office, Clanton and Associates accepts the appointment, "their availability for trial will not be until mid summer."
Judge Dale Reinholtsen declared a mistrial yesterday in the case. Posts linked below have details.
