I had been checking County of Humboldt vs Cathie Childs even after the last ruling by Judge Gregory Kreis on a hunch. There are still no future dates and I have checked since 11/6/23. I checked several times and today there are two filings by Childs filed on 1/3/24.
I have covered Humboldt court for a decade and the same instinct helps me follow cases, pick names on a jail log long before charges or details are filed. That is the journalist instinct which helps get scoops. Being out in the field, putting in hours to research, develop leads. I am the only one who has regularly followed this case.
LOCO had the initial leak handed to them and after that LOCO did zilch. Childs has no one but herself to blame because she chose to go to LOCO.
1/26/24: Parties stipulate to motion for preliminary injunction granted against Childs. Demurrer scheduled for 2/16.
2/16: Demurrer continued by stipulation to 3/8/24.
