West Virginia Delegate Derrick Evans recorded himself and posted video of him with the rioters at the U.S. Capitol. He was arrested and charged today by federal prosecutors.
Evans later deleted the video.
On the video, Evans was shouting, "We're in! We're in baby!" as they stormed into the building.
"Bring the tear gas. We don't care. We're taking this country back whether you like it or not. Today's a test run. We're taking this country back."
Where's the Proud Boys?"
The screen shots of of his arrest are from NBC affiliate WSAZ. In the video posted on Chad Hedrick's account, his grandmother called him, "a fine young man."
1/9/20: Evans resigned from West Virginia House of Delegates.
