"We are under restraints under COVID 19. Courts are closed to public appearance."

Sentencing for former insurance agent John Ford was continued to this morning. It was continued again to August 11.

Deputy Public Defender David Celli appeared in court for Ford's attorney, Mr. Ben McLaughlin.

Request to continue sentencing was so Ford could be personally present. Ford lives and works in Oregon.

Thomas Mulder, described as "the primary victim" by Deputy District Attorney Candace Myers made some comments on the record. He said no "attempts at restitution" had been made. Judge Wilson said that Ford needed to demonstrate "some good faith" by working towards restitution.

Ford entered a guilty plea to one count of PC 503, embezzlement. Ford agreed to full restitution for all victims. He is eligible for probation as he has no prior felony convictions.
