Defense witnesses have concerns traveling during shelter in place so Sean Allman jury trial date will be reset

Defense motion to continue was granted this morning in Sean Allman's case by Judge Timothy Canning since the People had no objection.

Trial confirmation scheduled for July 8 and jury trial for July 20 was vacated. Trial setting on July 22.

Allman is charged with Count 1 Terrorizing or Obstructing Exercise of Religion. Count 2 is Criminal Threats. Both counts pertain to the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Mr. Ben Okin is Allman's attorney.

Mr. Okin said he has 6 witnesses. In conversations with them, concerns were raised about traveling during the shelter in place. He requested a setting date in 30 days so Ms. Timm and he could discuss witness availability.
