GOP vandalism suspect wants his bike back from EPD

Preliminary hearing for Michael Valls was scheduled for May 4.  He is out of custody.

Valls is charged with second degree burglary, vandalism of the local GOP office and two counts of resisting/obstructing a police officer.

Deputy Conflict Counsel April Van Dyke appeared 977 for Valls. He wants to be personally present for his preliminary hearing. A time waiver was entered today on his behalf by his attorney.

Date for that preliminary hearing will be set tomorrow when a motion for return of property will be heard.  Valls wants his bicycle back as it is his only mode of transportation. It was confiscated by EPD.

Deputy District Jane Mackie appeared for the people.
