Murder suspect Ronald Loureiro's case is no different than other jury trials being rescheduled right now

Trial confirmation was scheduled this morning for murder suspect Ronald Loureiro. At the last hearing, Judge Christopher Wilson stated that the jury trial scheduled for May 18 will not proceed on that date.

Loureiro's case is no different than other jury trials being rescheduled due to the California Chief Justice's order in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Today dates were reset. Trial confirmation is on June 8; jury trial on June 22.

Besides the 2018 case in which Loureiro is charged with murder, he had two cases from 2019 and one from 2017 on calendar today.

Deputy District Attorney Shelly Small is the prosecutor for this case. Loureiro's attorney is Deputy Conflict Counsel Owen Tipps.

Mr. David Nims represents alleged victims Jackie Carter and two minor victims.
