"I  want a realistic date. Mr. Clanton double and triple sets."

Judge Timothy Canning and attorneys received the  second report by Dr. Mikel Matto evaluating murder suspect Antone Aubrey. After a report by Dr. Andrew Renouf, the defense had requested a continuance. Aubrey was being evaluated as he entered an additional plea of not guilty by insanity.

"I have some good news for you," Mr. Russ Clanton told Aubrey before his case was called. Then Mr. Clanton mentioned something about the second report and a trial motion.

District Attorney Maggie Fleming was in court for the People today.

"We have a split decision," said Mr. Clanton. "The People are not willing to stipulate. I believe Mr. Aubrey belongs in the hospital." Mr. Clanton asked dates be set for jury trial.

As dates were being set, Ms. Fleming, "I  want a realistic date. Mr. Clanton double and triple sets." She mentioned another jury trial that waw scheduled to start in April.

That led Mr. Clanton to respond defensively. He said he expects the "April 6  matter to resolve."

Judge Canning asked Mr. Clanton to check his schedule. "With the number of experts and nature of this case, it would be helpful," he said.

Ms. Fleming asked for a transcript of today's proceedings. The court ordered one for the People and the defense.

Trial confirmation is scheduled for March 30; jury trial for April 13.

Aubrey looks nothing like his booking photo. He has gained weight. Aubrey smiled and nodded as Mr. Clanton spoke with him.
