Kansas Judge blames minor victims and reduces sentence for 67 year predator with prior conviction

Leavenworth County  Judge Michael Gibbens
sentenced 67 year old  Raymond Soden to five years and 10 months in prison. The sentence was eight years less than what the prosecution asked for; the defense wanted probation.

Judge Gibbens recently said reduced the prison sentence and said that the 13 and 14 year old were partly responsible. Judge Gibbens said the girls went to Soden’s house voluntarily and they were not in court for Soden' sentencing.

Soden has a prior conviction for battery and sexual battery.
