Man urinates in chair at Wells Fargo and demands money for reparations from 1812

Just ran into someone who told me that on February 13, there was an incident at the Eureka Wells Fargo branch. This person told me "a vagrant came in sat with a banker and started spewing crazy stuff about being owed money for reparations from 1812." After he was escorted out by the Eureka Police, it was disvovered he urinated in the chair.

Bank staff confirmed EPD was called. Staff does not have the name of the person or the outcome.

On August 15, 2018, a man came into the Eureka Wells Fargo branch demanding money, yelling at customers and employees he wants to drag them outside and bash their heads on the sidewalk.

On April 3,2018,a man came into the Eureka Wells Fargo branch threatened to punch people and said he did not have his meds.

  1. I have reached out to our County Supervisors at least twice about Laura's Law and I get the usual politician response and no action. Laura's Law is court mandated treatment for certain people suffering from mental illness. Our state representatives come up up here and hold town meetings about the opoid crisis. Meetings do not solve anything. Besides the consequences of Prop 47 and 57, funds for this rural community that address mental health and drug addiction is real action. Instead our law enforcement has to answer calls to address social issues. Both the past and present Eureka City Council have done nothing to address such public safety issues and get funds to tackle such issues. This is why I dont print press releases for our statewide reps anymore. You want our votes and our money, start getting us some funds.
