Amador County Sheriff Deputy shovels snow, rescues elderly lady with no phone, power or heat and pays for a hotel room
"This evening we were able to help out Joan Almstrom of Pioneer, after receiving a call from a neighbor who was unable to make contact with her. Deputy Casey Wilson responded and found Joan inside, freezing cold and without power, heat or phone service. "
"After digging out knee high snow from the road to her front porch, Deputy Wilson was able to move Joan safely to his patrol car and gave her a ride to the Jackson Rancheria Hotel. "
"Once at the hotel, the Jackson Rancheria helped out and gave us a discounted rate, which Deputy Wilson took care of for Joan. A big thank you to both Deputy Wilson and the Jackson Rancheria. A great example of teamwork in our community. "
