Told you on January 9 that Josh Rosenfeld was going to FPD, here's the official news

I was the first to report on former Deputy District Attorney Josh Rosenfeld going over to Fortuna Police Department.

Here is the official press release:

To a few people our newest Police Officer Josh Rosenfeld’s face may seem a bit familiar, especially if they are a fan of the game show Jeopardy.

Officer Josh Rosenfeld appeared on Jeopardy in Oct 15, 2004 as a contestant in episode 177.  While he did not win, he had the chance to challenge Ken Jennings who as of that episode had won nearly $2M.

Rosenfeld appears sincerely modest when asked about his accomplishments, and he gives up the information grudgingly.  However, when asked why he changed careers, he stated that had a longtime   desire to serve his community as a Police Officer.

Before coming to our department, Rosenfeld a native of Torrance, California attended the University of California Los Angeles after which he attended one of the nation’s leading law schools, UC Berkeley Law.

After graduating from law school, he served as a prosecuting attorney for Mendocino County, and more recently as a prosecutor for the Humboldt County District Attorney’s office.

As well as being a practicing attorney, Rosenfeld attended Police Academy at Santa Rosa Junior College and successfully served as a reserve Police Officer with the City of Willits.
