Courtroom availability and witness availability cause another continuance to set dates in James Merrick's case

Trial setting for James Merrick was continued by stipulation to February 20. I did a detailed post on the January 22  hearing which is linked below and explains why a continuance turned into a trial setting.

There was an attempt to set a trial date today but between courtroom availability, defense expert availability and the victim's family wanting to be there, the trial setting was continued to February 26.

The earliest the trial could start would be in June; other dates later in the year were also discussed.

Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm is prosecuting the case. Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell is representing Merrick.
