In less than a month, Andrea Sullivan is 2, Humboldt DA 0

It took only a matter of hours, not even a full day, before a jury of three women and nine men returned a not guilty verdict in the case of Ruel Walters.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Candace Myers. Ruel was represented by Ms. Andrea Sullivan.



The complaining witness in the case is the daughter of North Coast Rape Crisis Center's Paula Arrowsmith Jones. The victim gave up her right to confidentiality.  Ruel did take the stand on the case.

I was in Courtroom One yesterday morning when the jury left for deliberations, waiting for another case.

Ms. Sullivan is a private attorney and also has the contract for Lake County Public Defender. She has represented Joe Olivo Jr, was court appointed to represent Chad Smith and recently appointed to represent Brandon Watson.
