Just heard from that former KIEM general manager and Eureka Chamber of Commerce director J. Warren Hockaday passed away today.
From Sgt. Jamie Barney, Humboldt County Coroner's office:
"Warren did pass away. We were notified of the death but it did not become a Coroner’s case and he was released to a mortuary. No Death Certificate has been filed yet."
Sad to hear of his passing. He was a great asset for Eureka and will be missed by all of Eureka as well as by the other citie's political members that knew him.
ReplyDeleteJ was the consumate professional. The Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce and the greater Eureka area lost a real great man. I consider myself very fortunate to have called him "my friend". Sooo sad at his passing. He always fought for local businesses. Dave Edmonds.
