The case against arson suspects Charles Riley and Cassandra Flower was dismissed this morning. Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal told Visiting Judge Elliot L. Daum that the People were unable proceed as a necessary witness is unavailable.
Both defendants were ordered released on this case. Mr. Bernthal said the People intend to refile charges.
Riley was represented by Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo. Flower by Mr. Michael Acosta.
