Afternoon update: At 1:58, Deputy District Attorney Jessica Watson is meeting with Brocius' family members, including his dad. Deputy DA Roger Rees is also in that meeting. He is the prosecutor for Lorna Leen's case, Craft's mother and co-defendant.
The case is going to be called at 3 p.m. when Ms. Allbright's trial is on break. Courtroom 7 will be open to the public. Judge Joyce Hinrichs just relayed this information as the hearing was originally set for 2:01 p.m.
A pre trial is scheduled today for Chris Craft. He is the juvenile charged with the murder of Brandon Brocius.
Craft is charged with one count of murder; special allegation for that count was using a knife during the commission of the crime.
Ms. Christina Allbright is representing Craft. She is in trial at the moment, so will the hearing this afternoon be continued?
A motion to decide if the case will be transferred to adult court and a Welfare and Institution Code 241 report are some of the issues that need to be addressed in the case. Details on what a 241 report is included in the arraignment post linked below.
I will update this post after this afternoon's hearing.
