"We are all human beings, we all have frailties, we all make mistakes."

Judge Graham Cribbs announced his tentative decision regarding the motion for new trial in the Jon Goldberg case and the motion to dismiss the 25 to life firearm sentence. His tentative decision was his final decision.

Judge Cribbs commented on the emotions, the human tragedy and other observations about the case.

"We are all human beings, we all have frailties, we all make mistakes."

"Four people were involved. We have two couples. We have a male and female who crossed the line. Their partners at that time knew nothing about this; it's exposed" and then Judge Cribbs talked about how quickly things escalated to a "point where a life is taken."

"Unfortunately, there are two people," said Judge Cribbs, "Ms. Springer who did not buy into this situation" and "Mrs. Goldberg, who didn't want any part of this," adding that both situatiins were almost "identical. Two families, two couples, children.

"All of a sudden, yesterday's fishing trip today turns into a tragedy."
