Former correctional deputy Cory Fisher's jury trial reset to January 22 as defense needs more time to prepare


Trial confirmation was scheduled on October 23 for former correctional deputy Cory Fisher. Jury trial is scheduled for November 2018 vacated was vacated after defense requested a motion to continue. That was granted since the defense had communicated with the People over the weekend.

1108 evidence, no response from jail logs were some of the reasons stated on record by the defense. Jury trial now scheduled for January 22, 2019. Fisher entered a limited time waiver.

Trial Confirmation is on December 31. Pre trial to check status of subpoenaed documents in December 3.

Charges include alleged molestation of his stepsons and son as well as alleged forcible oral copulation and unlawful touching of intimate part of Humboldt County inmates.

Fisher is charged with 13 counts. The Six alleged victims are John Does 1, 2 and 3 and James Does 1, 2 and 3.

Fisher's wife was in court. They are currently in midst of divorce proceedings.
