People reiterate pre preliminary offer again; if Aaron Hooven declines, additional charges will be filed for jury trial


Preliminary hearing scheduled for Aaron Hooven this morning. Deputy Conflict Counsel Joe Judge made an oral motion to continue. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees "submitted" on the motion.

As reported previously, the People stated their offer of an open plea to Count 1. Mr. Rees told Retired Judge Marilyn Miles that if Hooven does not accept the offer  then after the preliminary the People plan to file an a special allegation which will result in more time.



Intervention is now scheduled for October 22. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 24. People intend to call two witnesses.

Hooven's wife was in court with an older lady. They were whispering in court even before the case was called and after the motion to continue, spoke with Mr. Judge.
