Despite a second court order and a deadline to admit him at the state hospital, Dylan Wilson is still here in jail

Despite two orders signed by Judge Dale Reinholtsen, the second one ordering Napa State Hospital to admit Dylan Wilson by July 20, he is still here at the Humboldt jail.

Another status of transport hearing is scheduled for August 2. The Public Defender's office will file an O.S.C. by that hearing.

This is the second time Wilson will be going to Napa State. After competency was restored, the day his case was to be resolved with a plea, his family threw a fit in court. After talking to them and then Wilson, Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield declared doubt regarding Wilson's competency.

Wilson was arrested for alleged assault of a 12 year old on her way to school in Arcata.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads appeared on behalf of the People. Publuc Defender Marek Reavis appeared in court with Wilson today. Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield is the attorney assigned to this case.

From uslegal.com:

O.S.C is the abbreviation for order to show cause. Order to show cause is an order of the court directing a party to a lawsuit to appear on a certain date to show cause why the judge should not issue a specific order or make a certain finding. A show cause order is generally used in contempt actions, cases involving injunctive relief, and situations where time is of the essence. Even though similar to a motion, it can produce a court order on the requested relief much more quickly than a motion can.
