Is Elijah Chandler still in town and if so why has he not taken care of this court case?

Elijah Jeremiah Chandler graduated Humboldt State University. He is one of the friends at the party the night David Josiah Lawson was stabbed, he testified at the  Lawson preliminary hearing and was often seen with Josiah's mother at press conferences.

Haven't heard much from him lately. According to court records, he has not taken care of this court case.
