On July 25, 2018, at about 8:00 a.m., officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to a residence on the 3300 block of Summer Street for the report of a burglary and attempted sexual assault that had just occurred.
The victim said an unknown male made entry into her home and attempted to assault her in her bedroom. The suspect fled out a rear door when the victim threatened to grab a weapon.
