Samantha Jones of Bucks County, Pennsylvania has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of her infant son.
An autopsy revealed that the baby’s blood contained methadone, amphetamine and methamphetamine, which prosecutors allege was passed to the baby through breast milk.

Remember the local case of Maggie Wortman, the woman who pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 6 years in prison. In that case, the baby ingested a lethal dose of meth through breast milk.
The Wortman case was prosecuted by former Deputy District Attorney Ben McLaughlin, who then went into private practice, and is now a Deputy Public Defender.
