Alleged molestor Miles Neiva was arrested by the Fortuna Police Department on September 17 and booked on charges of 288.7(b) and PC 288(a). Bail at booking was $825,000. Neiva is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon.
During the investigation, FPD developed probable cause to arrest Neiva for the alleged sexual assault of a minor that occurred between 2014 and 2021.
As I already mentioned, FPD is looking into additional evidence and typically in these cases, the District Attorney asks for an increase in bail at arraignment.
