Convicted felon with 29 cases needs to go to prison again

Sixth  day of jury selection for frequently arrested, convicted felon Markis Shirley. Four cases are on calendar. Judge Christopher Wilson is presiding over the trial in one case; charges include robbery and assault. The rest are "trailing."

Shirley has 29 cases in the system. Should have resolved his case. Now his fate is in the hands of a jury. I hope they send him to prison.

I had the misfortune of covering Shirley forcible rape case. He resolved the case by pleading to  burglary and criminal threats and was sentenced to prison.

Deputy District Attorneys David Moutrie and Shelley Small are the prosecutors for the trial. Mr. Zach Curtis is Shirley's attorney.
